About Me

Mehgan Devine, PsyD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Illinois, and received her Doctorate of Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology with a concentrated specialty in Family Systems Therapy.  Dr. Devine received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University with a combined major of Exercise Science and Psychology.

Dr. Devine’s clinical experiences include working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in a variety of settings including: intensive outpatient care, community mental health, schools, college counseling, long-term care facilities, clinics, and private practice.  In addition, she has taught Family Systems Therapy at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  Dr. Devine has treated a diverse population of clients, including those who have experienced anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, eating disorders, personality disorders, marital and relationship problems, parenting issues, athletes with performance anxiety, and those who are navigating life’s challenges.  She has conducted research on how experiencing trauma affects the functioning of the family unit and the family’s ability to relate to one another.  This research earned Dr. Devine the “Early Career Research Award” in 2010, presented by the International Council of Psychologists (ICP).

Dr. Devine has completed additional professional training in the following areas:

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy through the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

Ecopsychology Certificate through Pacifica Graduate Institute,
